What is being proposed?
Indwell Community Homes has applied to remove a holding provision (h-67) that has been applied to the lands at 728, 730, 742 and 744 Dundas St (Northwest corner of Dundas St and English St). As the notice of application states: "The purpose of the h-67 provision is to address concerns of site contamination, a Record of Site Condition shall be carried out by a qualified professional and submitted to the Ministry of the Environment. The City of London will remove the h-67 holding provision once the Ministry is satisfied that the Record of Site Condition is satisfactory."
The lands are already zoned Business District Commercial with a special provision that allows a mix of commercial and residential uses. The London Free Press reported on Indwell's proposed use of the lands earlier this year.

The planning and environment committee will consider a report from planning staff at a future meeting. This will not be a public participation meeting, as it only involves the lifting of a holding provision.
